MyBMH is a secure, digital tool you can use to store, document and access health and medical information. Also called a patient portal, it provides access to portions of your Beaufort Memorial Hospital medical records and accepts user-entered data including prescriptions, immunizations and more. It’s private, secure and accessible via the Internet at www.mybmh.org. Want to learn more about using MyBMH or see how easy it is to register your account? Watch this two-minute video.
MyBMH is available to current Beaufort Memorial patients, age 18 or older. If you’ve never been a patient but think you may be in the future, you will be able to join in an upcoming enrollment.
The list of things you can do with MyBMH will grow in phases. Tasks you can do right now include:
No. MyBMH is a free service provided by Beaufort Memorial.
Beaufort Memorial takes great care to ensure your health information is private and secure. Your identity must be verified before you are given a personal identification number (PIN) or enrollment code to access to your medical record. Access to information is controlled through the secure PIN (or enrollment code), personal username, and password. You control your own password, and the account cannot be accessed without that password. Unlike conventional email, all MyBMH messaging is done while you are securely logged on to the system. Patient information is stored in a secure data center, not on the public Internet.
Some of the information in your MyBMH account is provided through your Beaufort Memorial medical record. If you share your username and password with anyone, they will be able to log in and view your information.
No. You need an email address so we can communicate with you. When you receive a secure message in MyBMH, we’ll send you an email notification alerting you to the message so you can log in to view the message. Email also is used to help you retrieve your username and password in case you forget them or need to reset them.
No. Please call Beaufort Memorial’s Patient Financial Services at (843) 522-5150 to make these vital adjustments to your record.
In order to change your password, log into the portal. Click the “User Settings” link in the left navigation bar of your homepage and then click on “Security Settings” to manage your password. You’ll be prompted to enter your old password and to confirm your new password by typing it twice. Click “Change Password” to save your new password.
MyBMH has ”Forgot Username” and “Forgot Password” link in the log in area you use to access your MyBMH account. Clicking on “Forgot Username” brings up a helpful set of instructions that allows you to securely retrieve your username. Same for “Forgot Password.” Secret questions ensure only you can access this information. If you’re still having trouble, please contact our Help Desk at (843) 522-7001 or register@bmhsc.org.
To protect your record there are times it may temporarily lock down. This happens after a specific number of attempts to log in is exceeded. If your account says it’s locked, please contact our HelpDesk at (843) 522-7001 or register@bmhsc.org.
For non-clinical questions or issues, you can click on the ”Contact Us” link to request help from the MyBMH log in page or from anywhere inside MyBMH where a ”Contact Us” link appears. For support, please contact our E-Health Technical Analyst at (843) 522-7922 or jlohr@bmhsc.org.

personal identification number (PIN). This
unique number is created just for you and
enables you to log in and create your own
username and password. You can use your
code/PIN to register your MyBMH account
using any computer. Your code/PIN is valid
for 90 days.
If you do not register within 90 days it
will expire and you will need to contact
our support team to receive a new one.
If you did not receive an enrollment
code or PIN during your visit, contact
the MyBMH support center at
register@bmhsc.org or call (844) 522-7001
(toll-free) or (843) 522-7001 (local) for
assistance. Remember, the newest
code/PIN will replace any unused code/
PIN you may have received previously.

If you and your spouse (or a legally-recognized partner) wish to share medical information with one another, you will be able to request proxy access to each other’s accounts at a later date.
The patient portal is web-based and requires a valid email address for activation. If you receive a secure message in MyBMH, you will be notified via email. When you log in, you’ll be able to view the details of that message.
MyBMH includes viewable clinical data from your hospital medical record, including medications, allergies, immunizations, health issues, lab results and imaging reports. You may add health-related information to your account, too. Please note adding or changing data in your MyBMH record does not update your Beaufort Memorial medical record.
Hospital records or reports can be imported after your physician reviews them. This usually happens within three business days.
